Jocelyn grew up in Louisville, KY and got her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Kentucky. As a huge UK fan she’s looking forward to basketball starting up again so she can cheer on the Cats! She recently moved to Wilmington to pursue her Master’s of Psychological Sciences from UNCW. In college, Jocelyn spent her summers working at a United Methodist summer camp which grew her passion for working in child and youth ministries. Outside of school and church, Jocelyn spends most of her time with her dog, Norbert.
Suzanne grew up in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Clarion University with a degree in Secondary Education/Mathematics. Suzanne moved to Wilmington in 1990 to pursue her teaching career. After retirement in 2018, she became the Administrative Assistant of Wrightsboro UMC. Suzanne is married to Jim Timmons and they have one son, Andy. Suzanne enjoys traveling and science fiction.
Pastor David grew up near Edenton in Chowan County. He attended N.C. State University and then went on to Wake Forest University School of Law. After receiving his law degree and license, he settled in Wayne County and practiced law full time for 18 years, with an emphasis in civil litigation. He heard and answered the Lord’s call to pastoral ministry in 2001 and completed the basic Course of Study for Ordained Ministry at Duke Divinity School in 2008.
Pastor David has filled a variety of roles in the NC Conference prior to coming to Wrightsboro UMC to serve as its Lead Pastor. He has served as the pastor of a number of local churches, and he also served as the first Assistant to the District Superintendent of the Heritage District for two years. He created and led the Conflict Transformation Ministries for the Conference for 2.5 years. He has presented numerous workshops on conflict transformation skills for churches and assisted many churches that were struggling with unhealthy conflict, both as an independent consultant and later as a part of the Conflict Transformation Ministries. Pastor David began serving Wrightsboro UMC effective January 1, 2016.

Amanda Hunter was raised in the United Methodist Church and is very excited to
start this new journey at Wrightsboro UMC. She attended college at East Carolina
University and received a B.M. in Vocal Performance. She has had a variety
of experiences in leading worship, including choirs, praise teams, bands,
solo singing, and more. Her other hobbies include directing music for the Thalian Association and Panache Theatrical Productions. Her prized possession is her beautiful fur baby, Maestro the English Bulldog. She looks forward to getting to know everyone in the WUMC family and leading the music program into a season of growth.
