When a natural d14354974_10202176596771931_5950660421741525261_nisaster occurs in our area an appeal for help goes out from the United Methodist Committee on Relief.  Teams are needed to clean, repair, and make damaged homes livable again.  WUMC responds with work teams to areas that have experienced tornadoes and, most recently, devastating floods.  Our teams travel to affected areas for three to five days and work with Disaster Relief coordinators.  We also take a team to the Disaster Relief Warehouse in Goldsboro every month to help assemble various shipments, such as birthing kits, school kits, food buckets, etc. to be sent to affected areas locally and internationally.
